AB  - This paper summarizes the basic assumptions that led to a thesis which investigates the use of high efficiency solar cells used by solar cars, with the main aim of minimizing energy consumption in such a vehicle. A solar car is special in the way that there is not only energy consumed, but also generated. This energy should be used in the most efficient way, for example with the use of a combination of different energy storages, such as high efficiency batteries and super capacitors.
